friendship cuffs...

ok, so if you've been paying attention, ;0) you'll remember that i said i'd be back soon with some leather cuffs...along the lines of the stamped ones i did on grungepaper a couple of weeks ago...*voila*
these are made quickly and simply by cutting the leather into freehand scallops {i did mine by eye but you could draw a template if you prefer the *perfect* look} making sure that one scallop overlaps and fits neatly on your wrist. to do the cuff up, you need to punch a hole in either end using both sizes on your Cropadile...one small, one large...the small one will take the Tim Holtz hitch fastener, and the larger one with fit snugly over the hitch fastener to allow you to put the cuff on...and take it off :0)
i'm still on my *use everything i've got already* stash diet, so i decided to use this beautiful dark leather that was originally a swatch from a well known furniture store...although it would have been possible to stamp on it...i decided to combine two elements of *use everything i've got already* and use up some of the millions of eyelets i have accumulated over the years...and some little fabric flowers that someone else gave me, from thier *use it or lose it pile* lol
the pink one is actually a floral trim, which i've cut a section of and cropadiled right through the trim, so this one sits flush to the leather, whereas the loose flowers have a bit more movement to them...

and as you can see...they really are friendship cuffs...when i asked my two models to pose for me...they just had to hold hands...a real sign of friendship!! ;0)

Brilliant, not only using your stash pile up but producing such pretty and usable things with it all!!
