i swear...

...that Wednesday's are coming around faster and faster...here we are again! as usual...i'm joining Julia and half of blogland in WOYWW...check here if by any chance you've been hiding under a rock and not discovered this phenomenon yet!

well, here is my workdesk this morning...a picture frame i've just about finished altering...a pile of papers on the left which is prep for an upcoming class...and on the right...my trusty cup of cammomile and spearmint tea...i can't function without that! you may notice its in a new mug tho :0)

here's a little close~up of the fabby new technique i've discovered by accident...firstly i flooded the glass channel with alcohol ink...left it to dry and then painted over it with Distress paint...look how the lovely cranberry ink has seeped through and made gorgeous crackes and patterns in the old paper paint...i've also sprinkled in a little green glitter for added bling! cool, huh? ;0)

and the little mirror shapes i've simply painted with alcohol ink...and embellished with a few pearls...what was once a rather modern and minimalist looking frame...now fits beautifully into my shabby chic design scheme!

thanks to everyone who drops by...its great to have you with me...and do leave a comment so i can pop over and see you :0)

gorgeous, I love the pink and green sides, very effective. I love it when experiments work out so well.

You're too clever; I wouldn't have thought of going that route at all -the alcohol inks yes, but not the distress paint - too scarey! Let us see it in situ won't you?

It's awesome when you find a new technique just by playing around. Really, really lovely results all the way around. I know I'm late, but happy belated WOYWW.
