cuteness and coziness

I finally got around to scrapping this old photo of me...having my first ever school photo. They are never good...but this one has a cuteness to it that I really like :) Can you believe my Mum made me wear that nylon dress and shirt...not to mention that fringe!!!! lol

The pp is Scenic Route who appear to be going out of business which is really sad...I've used both sides of the Bull's eye paper which I really love. Everything else is left overs from various Scarlet Lime kits I had lying around!

Talking of kits...does anyone know of any good ones that you think I might like? I'm looking for a new one to try and I do like things that are a bit different...I love muted but strong tones, or jewel colours, I love shabby looking things...and I hate primary colours!! Apart from that...I'm not fussy!!! ;)

And this one's for my sister...taaa daaaah! The new cushion in all its glory. Dave will keep sitting on it...but he know's he's not really allowed to until you've seen it, hon xxx

It matches the lovely new curtains I've made with the help of my good pal Rosie...my first ever curtain making experience...but I hope not my last...

Ooooh and here's another question for all you talented seemstresses out there...my curtains aren't hanging awfully well...they are the locked in kind, thick fabric with a thinnish lining...but they look like I haven't ironed them, and almost as if the front fabric is stuck to the back fabric making it wrinkly :( does anybody have any hints for how to resolve this? Thanks in advance if you do!! xx

The fabric is from Dunelm Mill and I love how cozy it makes my little living room feel :)

Beautiful material for your cushion, looks stunning against your couch... can't help with the curtain problem, sorry, I am useless at such things and just take the material to a lovely wee mannie in a back room and old treadle sewing machine and wait for what he brings me back!! ;)

Aww cute photo Alix and the layout is lovely too. We have a Dunelm Mill recently opened here and I bought myself a Louis Black dining chair for my to-be newly decorated scrap room. Love the lime background btw. TFS.

This is such a sweet LO and a VERY cute picture! You look like a bundle of mischief. Gorgeous cushions which probably cast the curtains into the shade .....

Hi, hope this doesn't double-post!
Love the LO, cute Owl embellishment. Hope you've got the curtains sorted, the fabric looks lovely.
I recently got my first kit in ages from Cleo Crafts. She's a tier two sponsor on UKS if you look in 'Go Shopping' and has lots of lush stash in her shop. Hope that helps.
