"is Zebedee coming to tea then?!"

There are not many things i love more than a nice cup of tea...except maybe three nice cups of tea :) and to save the tea getting cold by the time i'm onto the second or third one, i decided to make myself a little tea cosy this morning.

I've used my big shot to cut out all the flowers from felt and sewed assorted buttons through the middles to attach them to the base of the cosy. The base is made from an old jumper i had that i felted in the washing machine...its now super thick and highly insulating...as well as a bit cute. I simply cut out the rough shapes, blanket stiched them together {leaving gaps for the handle and the spout} and added the flowers. Easy peasy. :)

And this is what it looks like sans the teapot...just like a cosy winter hat...which might well be what i make with the rest of the jumper.

On inspecting my work...all the husband could think of to say was..."is Zebedee coming to tea then? or the whole magic roundabout???" lol honestly, sometimes i just don't think he appreciates *art* ;P well i like it...and that's all that really matters to me!!
