i think it might be time...

...we repainted our woodwork...we do like a bit of *shabby chic* at our place...but i think we're verging close to plain old *shabby*!! ;)
Wood work aside...i thought you might like to see the Birthday card i made for my Mum this week. i dug out the ancient K&Co papers that i use for her Birthday every year...and this year i was inspired by the sketch that Hels used on her Bubbly Scrumptious post this week...see it here.

the sentiment is one of my favourites by PaperArtsy...and daffodils are one of the first marvels to appear in the spring time...so it seemed perfect.
happy crafting,
alix

Tis FAB Alix, lovin those papers, I had those yonks ago too... and the blue ones.. with all the bits n bobs to go with... they were a TSV on QVC so I got... two ROFL Thanks for having a go at the sketch, glad you liked it... and ... BTW, I like the shabby look of paintwork... plus, i find it doesn't show up the cobwebs much... that's my excuse, you can borrow it if you like ROFL

It's the most beautiful card!
As for the 'shabby chic' business... well, I like my skirting boards old and yellowed with age - and my hubby painted them all fresh bright white! I hate it. I've a mind to go round the skirting with a scourer and some coffee just to prove my point of how older is lovelier :)
